Privacy notice

The controller of your personal data is COGITO CODE S.R.L., registered office Aleea Tândală nr. 18-20, Sector 3, Bucharest 031882, Romania, Trade Register J40/12985/2023, CUI 48481995. For anything about your data, write to contact@cogitocode.ro.

The website sets no cookies and uses no local storage, analytics, advertising, social media plugins or other trackers; fonts, images and scripts are served from our own domain. To deliver the pages and protect them against abuse, our hosting provider processes the technical data your browser sends with each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system (user agent). We do not use this data to identify you, build profiles or combine it with other data.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We process your email address, your name and anything you include in your message or attachments, to answer you and, if we work together, to prepare and carry out the contract.

Legal basis: where you are the contracting party (for example a sole trader), Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; for contacts at a client or prospective client, our legitimate interest in communicating with business partners, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; for keeping contract and invoice records and sharing them with our accountant and the tax authorities, our legal obligations under Romanian accounting and tax law, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Please do not send us sensitive data, such as health information, by email.

You do not have to give us any personal data. Without your email address we cannot answer you, and without your contact details we cannot conclude a contract with you.

• Vercel Inc., United States, which hosts this website. Data it processes for us may be transferred to the United States under the safeguards in its data processing agreement, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Our email service provider, which stores our mailbox in the European Union.
• If we work together: our accountant, and public authorities where Romanian law requires it (for example, for invoices).

We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.

• Hosting logs: kept by Vercel for a limited period under its retention settings. We do not export or store them.
• Emails: as long as we need them to answer you and follow up, and no longer than two years after our last exchange, unless a contract follows.
• Emails and documents linked to a contract or an invoice: as long as Romanian accounting and tax law requires.

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing and to receive it in a portable format (Art. 15 to 20 GDPR). Your right to object is set out separately in the next section. To use any of these rights, write to contact@cogitocode.ro; we answer within one month. We do not make decisions about you by automated means, and we do not profile you.

You can also complain to the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal), B-dul G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru 28-30, Sector 1, 010336 București, dataprotection.ro, or to the authority in the EU country where you live or work.

Where we rely on our legitimate interest (website logs, emails), you can object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We then stop processing your data, unless we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or need the data to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
